On the Shore

Mr. BTEG and I took a vacation last week, to help relieve our depression and stress. We stayed at a cottage at Geneva-on-the-Lake, the oldest lakeshore resort in Ohio. There were six cottages in our little cluster, built in the 1930s. This is what ours looked like.

This is the view from outside our cottage, and the view from the sitting area window.

I wanted to get some pictures of some of my dolls soaking up sun by the lake. I chose to take Teresa and a BMR 1959 doll whom I've named Connor.

It was nice to get out of the house, and get away from everything for a while. I feel renewed, and I'm planning what doll things I'm going to do next.

    1. Thank you! This spot was the lakeside part of the land that our cottage was on. I saw pictures of it online and thought that it would be a great spot for photography, although I have to thank Mr. BTEG for helping pick this particular area. I do feel better now, not so overwhelmed. Trying to straighten up my craft area a bit more before I dive into something new.

    I hope you’re feeling better.
    I really like Theresa’s bathers.
I like the middle doll picture most

  3. It was nice, and I am feeling better, thank you. Is bathers an Aussie word for swimwsuit? Never heard that one before. I tried to make her looking out on to the lake like she was just caught up in the moment and not focusing on anything but the peaceful waves.

    1. I find it so relaxing to watch the waves sometimes. I was hoping to get some good dolls by the water shots and I'm glad that I found a good spot. Sometimes we just need a little time away.
