I like the positioning of Teresa's hands as well, although perhaps one should have been palms to side. These rather remind me of Monster High and Ever After High hands.
Here Teresa stands up to show you her whole outfit, including those shoes! I could never walk in those things, even in my size! :D
I forgot to get a good picture of the buttons on her cardigan -- the edges keep wanting to turn inside out. But you can see the threads sewing them on. :)
The pattern of this sweater really makes it special. Mattel could have gone with a plain stitch, but they didn't. The knitter in me admires the tininess of it.
The same thing goes for the waffle weave of this shirt. It makes the entire outfit a stand-out.
Lastly, the dolls model some doll-sized storage bins that I bought at Michael's. They were $1 each. I also saw them at Office Max. I would imagine they're in other stores as well.
Both dolls and outfits are fabulous! The clothes are very well made, I love the cardigan. I have those storage bins too, they are great for dioramas.

ReplyDeleteI agree. It's obvious that they can do it, but they aren't bringing their A game right now. My guess is that everything is marketed towards very young girls, except for the higher end collectibles.
DeleteI have that Fashion Fever Teresa and outfit. Really like the outfit although it seems a little stiff for that style. (The drape seems to belong to a softer, more knit-type fabric.) I wouldn't be PAID to wear those shoes, lol. Killer heels.

I understand what you mean about the dress, but I think the fabric they used works.
DeleteI would hope that at some point Mattel would return to more realistic fashions for playline Barbie, but who knows?
I just happened across this while looking for something else. This is my favourite Fashion Fever doll! Emma has her, but I never got one. I love everything about her:the Teresa face, the dress, and that great sweater with the tiny toggle buttons! This is a doll that I keep thinking, someday I want to get that one.
